PriceKomodo is a nutritional supplement price comparison website operated by Price Komodo LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. We built this site to help people find the best prices on supplements — not to collect and monetize personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use pricekomodo.com, why we collect it, and how it is used. Please read it carefully. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
PriceKomodo does not sell products, process payments, or create user accounts. We are a read-only price comparison tool. You search, you compare, you click through to a retailer's website. That means we collect far less personal information than a typical e-commerce site. Any purchase you make happens entirely on the retailer's website, under their terms and privacy practices.
Information you give us directly. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Information collected automatically. When you visit PriceKomodo, our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools automatically record standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is being used and to diagnose technical problems. It is not used to build individual user profiles.
Cookies. We use cookies — small text files stored in your browser — for two purposes: site analytics and affiliate link tracking. Analytics cookies (such as those set by Google Analytics) help us understand traffic patterns on the site. Affiliate tracking cookies are set when you click through to a retailer; they allow the retailer's affiliate network to attribute your visit to PriceKomodo so we can earn a commission if you make a purchase. These cookies do not give us access to your payment information or personal details on the retailer's site. You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using PriceKomodo, but affiliate attribution may not function correctly.
PriceKomodo participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click a link to a retailer on our site, we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund the site's operation. Our affiliate relationships do not influence which products or prices we display — we show all tracked retailers regardless of affiliate status. This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255).
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the site, diagnose technical issues, understand which products and categories are most useful to visitors, and respond to direct inquiries. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the site, including web hosting, analytics, and affiliate network platforms. These third parties may process certain data as part of delivering their services to us. Each operates under its own privacy policy. The affiliate networks we work with — which may include CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, Impact, Rakuten Advertising, Awin, FlexOffers, AvantLink, and Pepperjam (Ascend) — set their own cookies when you click affiliate links. Their data collection practices are governed by their respective privacy policies, not this one.
We also use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Google's data practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
PriceKomodo is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. This is consistent with our obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights regarding personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion of that information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. PriceKomodo does not sell personal information. Because we collect very limited personal data and do not sell it, most CCPA obligations do not apply to our current operations. If we send you any promotional email communications, each message will clearly identify the sender as PriceKomodo / Price Komodo LLC, include a valid physical mailing address, and provide a clear mechanism to unsubscribe. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Transactional or administrative emails — such as a direct reply to a question you sent us — are not subject to opt-out requirements.
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. There is currently no legally binding standard governing how websites must respond to this signal. PriceKomodo does not alter its data collection practices in response to Do Not Track signals, but we want to be transparent: we collect minimal data to begin with, and we do not use it for behavioral advertising.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted database access, and secure server configurations. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised in connection with our site, contact us immediately.
We retain server logs and analytics data for a limited period consistent with operational and security needs. Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to address your inquiry. We do not retain personal data beyond what is reasonably needed.
PriceKomodo is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S. visitors. The products, prices, and retailers we track are U.S.-based. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
In the event that Price Komodo LLC is acquired, merged, or its assets are sold, user information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of any such change in ownership and any materially different privacy practices that would result.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of PriceKomodo after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
